Netting A Jellyfish
This is an abstract idea of plastic netting "fish" swimming in a sea under a layer of bubble wrap.
Almost every pack of oranges, lemons or limes is sold in these plastic nets. There must be a better way to sell our citrus fruits. Until that day comes along, I will continue to use them in this new art of mine.
Recycled canvas measuring 20 x 16 inches (50.5 x 41cm)
A used canvas from a painting event I have previously hosted.

A Wave Of Plastic
A bubble wrap ocean with plastic cup fish. These plastic fish are melted plastic cups that I saved from the events I paint at. These cups were destined for the bin, but here they live forever on a pretty glittery canvas. All the glitter used in my art is used in a very careful manner and very very little gets thrown away.

Our Throw-Away World
I use paper plates as paint pallets so that I don't throw paint down the drain. I allow the paint to dry on the plate and then I
save them. I have a lovely collection of painted paper plates. I'm waiting for the day when I have so many, that I can actually do something with them, or until inspiration strikes.
I have also stuck on various bits of plastic to create this very interesting collage of our plastic consumed world.

The Ocean On Fire
Our oceans are filling up with plastic. Here I have melted and stuck on several pieces of plastic packaging, which when pasted with some shimmery glitter look quite beatutiful and interesting.
This is an abstract idea of the ocean top becoming so full of plastic that the life below whither and die from not being able to get to the surface for air.

A Plastic Reindeer for Christmas
Bubble wrap is becoming less used nowadays, which is brilliant, but I still have lots and lots saved up.
I have painted the reindeer onto bubble wrap which I have then heat set to the canvas. I have melted plastic bottle tops and plastic netting which have been stuck on.
