The Peshkar and Erasmas + Project

ABOUT THE PROJECT

In February 2020 I was commissioned to develop a community art project that asks the question:

IS LANGUAGE A BARRIER IN CREATING ART WITH OTHERS

(when we all speak different languages?)

I would like to explore whether a community art project can be organised, executed and successfully completed through participants online? Can art be used as a “common” language to explore and express different experiences of migration?

How Can You get Involved?

Step 1 : choose a recipe from below

Cocao

Flour

Oil

Water

Or coffee...

Flour

Oil

and

Water

Maybe turmeric...Flour, Oil and Water

Step 2 :

download STOP MOTION STUDIO app which is available for Android, iOS and desktop.

And create an animation using your home-made clay. Think about your animation in terms of migration. Where you have come from and where are you going.

There is no right or wrong.

QUESTION 1. Why should I use Stop Motion Studio and not others?

Stop Motion Studio is the one that I use, so I can answer any questions relating to it. Well, I will try my best to answer them correctly anyway. I am no stop-motion animation professional, I too am learning as I go.

You are welcome to use any others you may be more comfortable using.

Stop Motion Studio is easy enough to figure out if you are new to stop-motion animation.

QUESTION 2. What will I get out of contributing to the project?

Your animation will be visible to anyone who views this project and you will be contributing to my research question, Can we make art together if we are not together or even if we don't speak the same language?

Step 3 : export your video and send it via WhatsApp to this number - 07748 459240

along with your name and nationality.

Or choose to email it to: artwithtoubie@hotmail.com

After receiving and reviewing your video I will upload it to this website and your video will become a part of this project*
